Cayton Bay beach

Beach

The beach below the house: a sandy bay backed by cliffs, with rock ledges at low tide, old wartime pillboxes and Knipe Point at the north end. The bathing water was rated Excellent in 2025. The way down is a steep cliff path with steps, so it isn't suitable for pushchairs or anyone with limited mobility. RNLI lifeguards patrol in the summer: swim between the red and yellow flags, and check the tide before exploring the rocks.
