Yes. There's a £125 cleaning fee per stay, and a £100 refundable security deposit taken 24 hours before you arrive. Both are shown at checkout before you pay.

There's no dishwasher. A high chair can be provided on request, and travel cots are available. There's no BBQ, but you're welcome to bring a disposable one or your own.

Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.

Yes, free parking is available on the premises for up to three cars.

Yes, up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please tell us when you book, and keep them off the furniture.

Yes. It sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, two of them on the ground floor, and the garden is enclosed. Travel cots are provided and a high chair is available on request. There's a games room with pool and darts for rainy days. Children must be supervised in the hot tub at all times, and please take care on the clifftop and the beach path.

A steep cliff path starts next to the house, by the surf school car park, and leads down to Cayton Bay's big sandy beach. It's a few minutes down but harder coming back up, and it isn't suitable for anyone with limited mobility or for pushchairs. The sea views are there from the house whatever the weather.

The house is on a quiet clifftop, so you'll want a car for shops and restaurants. The nearest supermarkets, pubs and takeaways are in Cayton village and Scarborough, about 5 to 10 minutes' drive. A bus to Scarborough and Filey stops at the top of the street.

Cayton Bay beach is at the bottom of the cliff path, with surfing, rock pools and long walks. Scarborough, with its castle, harbour and Peasholm Park, and Filey are each about 10 minutes by car. Bridlington and the puffins at RSPB Bempton Cliffs are about half an hour away, Whitby about 45 minutes, and the North York Moors about 20. See our Cayton Bay area guide for more.
